]]> Ahh, the lazy and warm days of summer! There's no better time of the year for a change of pace and trying fun activities. If you need some ideas, here are five family activities that will keep you entertained all summer long.

1. Grow a Garden

Flagstaff, Arizona is a wonderful place to grow a garden, and container gardens are great to try at apartments. Plant a variety of lettuces, herbs and vegetables in containers that you place on your balcony or porch. For a decorative touch in your garden, add rocks that you've painted.

2. Enjoy Summer Creatures

All sorts of delightful creatures emerge during the summertime. Explore your neighborhood while looking for butterflies, frogs and other animals. Take photos to capture the memories.

3. Savor an Old-Fashioned Picnic
